About Us

The Church and Nation Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria exists to serve the General Assembly by providing information and guidance to both the Church and nation. By Church we mean the PCV as our primary focus and then the wider church in general. By Nation we mean the governing bodies in particular and then the electorate at large.

This information and guidance is to be consistent with a high view of the Bible and historic Christianity in terms of the reformed faith of the Westminster standards. The committee seeks to respond appropriately to the popular current social issues of the day and any other issues it believes should be brought to the attention of the Church and Nation. The committee's vision is to keep the Church accurately informed on relevant social issues in order to equip it to respond in a manner that honors God. Distribution of written material will be our main means of achieving our goals.
